My baby sister has started moving around quite a bit. So, my people put these gates at the stairs. It's a total inconvenience. I mean, what if I hear something outside? I need to be able to fling myself off the bed and run to the door on a moment's notice.
Now that the gates are in place, that can't happen. Just the other day, my mom went downstairs to get a load of laundry. When she came back up, she found this:
(If I try really hard, I can just about shove my snout between the slats.) If she had just left the gate open, we could have all come down to see her. Why am I forced into a life of imprisonment just because my baby sister won't stay on her blanket?
